Extension and Strengthening of the Container Terminal in Port Louis

August 2015.

Comarco is providing two barges, Comarco 232 and Comarco 233, for dredging activities currently taking place in Port Louis port, Mauritius.

The barges are on charter to a Joint Venture between Starbag International GmbH and Archirodon Overseas S.A., who have secured the main contract from the Mauritius Port Authority for the extension and strengthening of the container terminal in Port Louis.

With the preparation works underway, construction time, from commencement date of 08 September 2014, will be 27 months.

The project worth USD115 million is considered by the Mauritian Government as the 'life line' of the island.

To keep the port operational and to enable the supply and shipment of goods without any interruption until completion in December 2016, the project is staged in four different phases.
