Comarco Construction Company has recently resumed work on the Shimoni Fisheries jetty in Kwale County, Mombasa after a two year hiatus. Work is progressing steadily and CCC remains on target to complete the works on time and within budget.

In keeping with the Comarco Group's CSR commitments, CCC has sought to employ as many people as possible from within the adjacent local fishing community.

In addition, CCC has actively encouraged the employment of previously marginalised groups especially women, who have largely been overlooked in the construction industry as a largely male preserve.

Mwanafatime Shee Dago has been working for Comarco for the past eight months and her hard work, enthusiasm and aptitude has earned the nickname of "Mama Comarco" in Shimoni village and amongst her workmates.
